The Cammarch Hotel in Llangammarch
Wells has long been a famous stay-over for anglers fishing for salmon
and trout on the nearby rivers Irfon and Cammarch. The Hotel has recently
been restored to its former glory and is situated next to the Cammarch
Bridge in the centre of the town. It is also said to be the location
for the last 'wife
auction' in Wales. Today, we suggest you bring your own!
Anglers
requiring accommodation can contact the Hotel on 01591 610 802.
Roving Vouchers can be used to access some prime trout and grayling water on the hotel’s four mile stretch of the medium sized river Irfon. The late season salmon fishing and excellent winter grayling make this a truly all-year-round fishery. Prior to fishing, anglers should report to the hotel’s reception where vouchers are collected. You will then be issued with a beat map and directions to the water. The wading is tough in places so please ask at the hotel if you need to know where the easier stretches are.
