The Severn Arms at Penybont has the fishing rights to 5km of river Ithon, a medium size river running mostly over gravel. It is one of the easiest in the Wye catchment for access and wading. The beat had the highest catch average of any Roving Voucher water in 2006.

2006 Catches:
Consistent catches through the year. Biggest trout 14", biggest grayling 19"

Ideally fished with:
6.5 to 8ft, 2 to 4wt rod.

No dogs.
Catch & Release of all species.
Bait fishing for chub & grayling permitted.
No spinning.
