Those that read the angling press will have seen features on trout fishing on wild upland lakes, tucked away in the rugged geology of the more remote areas of the UK. This is just such a stillwater, sitting in moorland at about 1,700 feet above sea level. Its 45 acres offer truly wild fishing for the unique black finned trout of Bugeilyn, which average around half a pound. Daily catches of twenty of these extremely hard fighting wild brownies are not uncommon. Despite its remoteness, this is one llyn you can drive to!
