Wading difficulty: n/a
The furthest downstream of the 2007 Lugg and Arrow fishing, the Luggsbridge Fishery is a 1 mile section of left bank fishing a few miles up from the confluence with the Wye. This part of the Lugg is known to host good numbers of barbel, including some double figure fish, along with some very large chub. Proof of this can be seen from the roadbridge during summer flows. Recently, a 25lb pike was also caught in the Little Lugg, the small stream that joins the Lugg at the top end of the fishery. Open in some places, overgrown in others, this beat will suit those who like to stalk barbel and chub in smaller rivers, or those looking for a change from the coarse fishing on the main Wye.
