Lugg

Photo #1 of the Lugg River Photo #2 of the Lugg River
A major Wye tributary that begins life in the heart of the Radnorshire Forest. The Lugg flows in an easterly direction to begin with, through Presteigne and on to Leominster, where it turns south to join the main stem just downstream of Hereford.

The upper and middle Lugg offer excellent small to medium river wild brown trout fishing, while the middle reaches also provide some excellent opporunities for grayling. Coarse fishing for chub, pike and barbel is available in the lower river downstream of Leominster. It is predominantly gentle paced with a gravel and silt riverbed.
