The River Irfon - Beats 6, 7, 8 and 9
A major upper Wye tributary, the Irfon starts on the slopes of Bryn Garw flowing in a southerly direction towards Llanwrtyd Wells, through the secluded valleys of a National Nature Reserve before turning east through Llangammarch Wells to join the main river at Builth Wells.Primarily known for its trout fishing, the Irfon also holds good numbers of grayling in the lower reaches and the occasional late season salmon.
