1,000 yards of left bank river Irfon fishing, just downstream of Llangammarch Wells. This stretch is a good mix of gravel and bedrock, interspersed with some deep pools.

Trout, grayling and the occasional chub are present in this part of the Irfon, enabling the beat to remain open all year. The autumn grayling fishing is some of the best in the Wye catchment. The wading difficulty varies from the easier gravel runs to the more difficult bedrock sections.

Wild Brown Trout, Grayling.

Season:
All year (season extends pre 3/3 and post 30/9 for grayling).

2008 Catches:
New Beat.

Ideally fished with:
7.5 to 8.5ft, 2 to 5wt rod.

Restrictions:
No dogs.
Fly fishing only.
Catch & Release only.
Anglers to move upstream only when fishing.
