R36 & 37 - The Upper & Lower Escley
The Escley is a small, recently restored trout stream that flows into the Monnow at Longtown. The fishing comprises just under 5 miles of this river, split into 2 beats, both of which are made up of double and single bank. Please be aware that Foundation habitat teams will be working on the lower beat from the beginning of May until 12th June and the upper beat from 12th June until 17th July.

6.5 to 7.5ft, 2 to 4wt rod .
Restrictions:
No dogs
Fly fishing only
Catch & release only.
Anglers to move upstream only when fishing.
