R39 - The River Dore, Turnastone
Vouchers - Adults 4 / Under 17s 2.
Wading difficulty: 2
The river Dore is the most productive tributary of the Monnow. It flows in a southerly direction from its source near Hay-on-Wye, through Herefordshire’s famous Golden Valley before joining the Monnow below Pontrilas. Despite this being genuine small stream trout fishing where a short rod is essential, chest waders are required to negotiate your way through deceptively deep pools.
