Catch Information
These pages contain information on both recent and historic data on catches for the Wye, Usk and some other rivers for interest and comparison. The majority of these data relates to salmon catches and are taken from Environment Agency Wales fishery statistics.
We cannot stress the importance of making timely and accurate returns of salmon catches to both riparian owner and via your rod licence. For all waters in the Wye & Usk Passport scheme (salmon, trout and coarse), this can be done electronically using the link in the left hand menu.
Recording catch data is one (perhaps the best – certainly the most cost effective) way of determining the success of our river restoration works. Although affected by short term variations in weather and water conditions, the longer term data set will build an accurate picture of our salmon runs.
