The Foundation is always on the lookout for like-minded individuals to join our team of dedicated staff. We employ people with a variety of skills and backgrounds. For instance, our habitat teams are made up of trained chain saw operators, team leaders, and those that just enjoy working outdoors. In the office, Project Managers, Fishery Scientists, Marketing and Administration staff work on the various projects we are running. The Wye and Usk Foundation was formed in 1995 and is a registered charity with the following remit:
To conserve, protect, rehabilitate and improve the salmon and other indigenous species of animal and plant life of the rivers Wye and Usk, their tributaries, streams and watercourses and the banks, riparian lands and catchments of the river

To advance the education of the public in the conservation of rivers, river corridors and their animal and plant life and the need for conservation, protection, rehabilitation and improvement of such environments.
The task of restoring the fisheries and riverine environments on these two great rivers is managed in a series of partnership projects with statutory bodies , NGOs and stakeholders. Integral to the long-term preservation of the river is the economic development of the fishery. The Foundations has developed an original marketing scheme that is rapidly expanding.
We seek a dynamic, capable and personable individual take on a wide role within the Foundation that will include, development of the Passport scheme, Project management and design. Knowledge of salmonid and/or coarse fishing is essential. Additional relevant skills such as IT competence (to include Mapinfo and MS Office), project management experience and knowledge of natural resource management is considered important.
