20th January update: Another weekend course has been added - 2nd/3rd May. Both April weekends are now fully booked.

Want to learn how to Spey cast? Maybe you know the basics and want to hone your technique before a fishing holiday?

For several years AAPGAI qualified instructors Illtyd Griffiths and Jonathan Morris have been running their extremely popular two-day Spey casting courses on the upper Wye. In 2020 they will be held over two weekends in April and one in May:

18th/19th April (fully booked)

25th/26th April (fully booked)

2nd/3rd May (4 places left as of 20th Jan)

These courses are highly recommended to all beginners, improvers and experienced anglers who would like to improve their Spey casting. Numbers are limited to four anglers per weekend so they allow plenty of time for individual tuition.

The courses will be held on two separate beats, one in Boughrood and one outside Builth to allow attendees to concentrate on casting off both banks (and therefore both shoulders). All aspects of Spey casting can be covered, depending on individual needs and suitable tackle is available if required.

Places on the course are £275 per angler and include soup and sandwiches at lunchtime. Nearby accommodation can be found at the Griffin Inn, Llyswen.

For more information and to book, please contact Illtyd Griffiths on 01654 781365 or 07974 942853 or by email or Jonathan Morris on 07909 968348.
