With a budget of just over £1M, WHIP was the Foundation's first major project. It was also our first foray into European funding and the complexities that come with it.

With our partners, we delivered habitat improvements to 25km of upper Wye tributaries and two fish passes. We also learnt the processes we would use for future habitat restoration projects and the methods that are still employed today.
