Juvenile Atlantic salmon and trout have been recorded for the first time in decades in a section of the River Elan in mid-Wales.

The discovery in August follows the Foundation's initiative with partners Dwr Cymru/Welsh Water and Natural Resources Wales, to replenish the river's lost gravel and restore the ecology of this important upper Wye tributary.
