Administration Officer

The Wye and Usk Foundation requires a full time Administration Officer to work in their headquarters at Talgarth, supporting all departments such as finance, fundraising, marketing, operations and farm advice. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK’s biggest rivers trusts and to work in a busy, dynamic organisation that has a focus on delivery.

The role will be varied and the individual will be expected to be flexible and adaptable, depending on which of our departments requires support at any one time. The successful candidate’s typical day could range from taking fishing bookings over the phone, data entry, spreadsheet work for the finance department or carrying out a fundraising mailing.

It is likely that the role could quickly develop further, taking on extra duties in areas such as volunteer management.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, motivated and have excellent written and oral communication skills. Good experience and skill in the Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word & Excel) is also required, along with the ability to work under pressure and to prioritise workloads. An interest in the environment and conservation would be desirable. Training will be provided in bespoke in-house software.

In return we offer of salary of £19,000 to £20,000 depending on experience plus life assurance and a pension option. Our hours of work are 9am to 5.30pm (40 hours per week).
