Our trustee Charlie Newington-Bridges, along with Gerry Stentiford and Julian Sarsby will be running 150 miles along the river Wye from its source in the Cambrian mountains to its mouth at Chepstow, starting on May 28th 2018.

Running a marathon a day for 6 days with a double marathon in the middle, they will be carrying in rucksacks all their food and equipment, so will be self-sufficient other than water and the tent at the end of the day. They're calling this jaunt the "Marathon des Salmon".

In Charlie's words, "The run will raise money for two local charities - the Wye and Usk Foundation and Ty Hafan, the childrens' hospice provider. It will also raise awareness of the environmental threats faced by the River Wye and its habitat.

He added: "Your sponsorship will make a substantial difference to two charities that do not have the means of some of the big name charities, but nonetheless do great work in the local area and beyond."

This will be a monumental effort. Please sponsor him!
