The Wye and Usk Foundation (WUF) is a registered charity concerned with ecology and more specifically, restoring the habitat, water quality and fisheries of the rivers Wye and Usk.  We are the largest rivers' trust in England and Wales in terms of output. WUF is a leader in its sector, with multiple workstreams in the field, developing new techniques and delivering improvements for the aquatic environment.

We are looking to recruit a new Trustee to join our Board with immediate effect. The new trustee ideally needs to have connections with the Rivers Wye and/or Usk, preferably a riparian owner. Whether you are an experienced Trustee or wanting to take up a new way of contributing to this community activity, we want to hear from you. Appointments will be made early in 2022.

Our new Trustee will ideally have skills in one or more of the following areas:

  • An accountancy background and/or
  • Media/publicity/marketing

As a Trustee you will have the chance to be part of a team that:

  • Contributes actively in developing the strategic direction of the charity and associated issues
  • Have effective, productive and respectful relationships with the other trustees and the WUF management and staff teams
  • ensures WUF acts in accordance with its governing document, and charitable and other relevant legislation or regulations
