The Foundation is currently looking to fill the following vacancies:


Natural Capital Officers x 2

Line manager: Head of Natural Capital

Salary band: £19,500 to £23,800 per anum

Initial 6 month fixed term contracts with an expectation the posts will become permanent during the term.

Tasks:

Collect and analyse data to facilitate the development of natural capital markets in the Wye and Usk Catchments.

Undertake mapping of data across the organization to realise opportunities for natural capital.

Work with the rest of the Natural Capital team to devise, research, develop and manage scientific projects/auctions focused predominantly soil health, biodiversity, nutrient neutrality and natural flood management.

Work with our Data and Monitoring department to analyse and interpret their results.

Work closely with other WUF departments, especially farm advisory, habitat, marketing, PR/Comms, education and fundraising, providing expertise and advice to each to ensure their activities are blended with WUF's objective to develop natural capital.

Work closely with statutory authorities to identify areas of work and funding, ensuring WUF projects are synergistic with government priorities and initiatives.

Qualifications:

We will consider applications from a range of backgrounds and different expertise although a relevant science degree in a related subject is required. 

Essential:

Mapping experience and knowledge of ARCGIS.

Own transport.

Preferred:

Practical experience in the field.

An understanding of natural capital.
