Juvenile Atlantic salmon and trout have been recorded for the first time in decades in a section of the River Elan in mid-Wales.
The discovery in August follows the Foundation’s initiative with partners Dwr Cymru Welsh Water and Natural Resources Wales, to replenish the river’s lost gravel and restore the ecology of this important upper Wye tributary.
